What Is Happiness and Inner Peace?

If I were to pull 1000 people off the street randomly and ask them:

"Would you like to feel more happiness and peace in your life?"

Most of them would say yes.

In fact, on a daily basis, we make decisions and do things we hope will make us happier and more peaceful -- whether we realize it consciously or not.

Happiness and inner peace are VERY important to us!

Yet, if I took those same 1000 people, another random group of 1000, or perhaps you, and asked these questions:

"What IS happiness -- really?"
"What IS inner peace -- really?"

Few would have a comprehensive, accurate or clear answer of what happiness and inner peace really are, much less how to actually experience more of them on a daily basis.

Hmmmm ...

I believe one might say "words are very tricky" here :-) Truly, there are no words to express what True Happiness & True Inner Peace feels like without the experience. I'm bathing in appreciation as I'm so grateful to myself for creating you and your work, Robert, and as I continue to travel deeper and deeper with the many signposts my Expanded Self creates for the pure love and enjoyment of this awesome ride I already KNOW my experience will become 24/7 :-) Cheers! Smiles & Hugs With Much Love & Appreciation, Wendy from Winnipeg

The statement I hear the most often is "happiness is a choice you make every moment" or something like that.

For me that was the most deceptive idea I experienced in my life. So not only did I chase and chase an ideal that didn't exist by trying to improve my life (gain money, date women, etc), but I also beat myself up for not being able to just simply "be happy."

It reminds me of a great quote from the movie, "A Beautiful Mind" To paraphrase, one of the side characters says to the main character, who is a genius, "you can't think your way out of this one." In the movie it's because the character is schizophrenic. In your life (or your movie) it's because you're supposed to try and figure it out but ultimately never answer the question through thinking and problem solving.

How wonderful I created you Robert to start me on the path of the real answer.

Chris

Yep. How wonderful YOU created me to play that role!
